Wednesday I got my hair cut. I decided to do the trim because I needed a shape plus when I had my protective style for a couple of months ago I accidently cut my hair with the braid on, but it was not that too much. I have been searching for a hair salon for so long... Like seriously, I can't even count it LOL however, I went to this page on Black girl long hair website to see if they had a natural hair salon in California.
I find one that was close to my place, the hair salon called Mahogany Revolution http://mahoganyrevolution.com/. This hair salon is the only one that I can trust because they know how to take care of nappy or aka kinky hair because most of the hair salons in Los Angeles CA don't know who to do it honestly.... Anyways, since it was my first at the hair salon I got the washing and conditioner for FREE!!!! YAAYY but next time it will cost me 30 dollars. The trim cost 30 dollars, which I think it is a good price for natural hair, the people there were really nice and the person who was doing my hair explains everything to me step by step. The hairdresser started to conditioner, wash it out, started to blow dry and then with the cutting. I have never ever had a blowout before, so this is my first time. It was pretty much cool to see how it looks like, my cutting wasn't that much. I really got my trim I will definitely come back again. I Keepin'itReal | ||||||||

It is a lot of products, Yes. I understand that, but I don't quit using them all at the same time.
On my daily I only use water, Cantu Shea butter hair lotion and grapeseed oil after that I just wear my Afro puff out.
When it's time to co-wash I only once a week or when I feel like my hair have too much build-up of products.
Conditioner is only once, twice a week. When it's comes to styling like twist out and braid out I often use Cantu Shea butter coconut curling cream with gel. In addition, I use Cantu Shea butter, leaving always, even more because it gives my hair really soft and very nice to detangle or comb it out. Recently I haven't been styling my hair that much like I used too but it's cool.
Yep, that was it pretty much. If you have any question please send me a message my Facebook group or on my blog. FYI, my products will be publics soon I promise =)
What we have here is a protein treatment. Me and my friends were talking about protein and one of my friends advices me to use egg to my hair because I need a lot of protein on my hair. The thing is I haven't been using my protein treatment for, so long so when she remind about I started to research about how to do hair protein treatment for colored hair so this is what I find. I thought this recipe will work for me cuz I have all the products that I need however I didn't have egg, mayonnaise so I went to store and bought it I also bought coconut milk as well cuz it has a lot of protein too.
This protein treatment is for all type for hair type and everyone needs protein to their hair it's really important. What I have in my Hair Protein treatment are:
Egg
Raw honey
Coconut milk
Coconut oil ( Just an option)
Extra virgin olive oil
Pantene conditioner relaxed hair
Real mayonnaise
You can get these products ANY STORE, trust me they have it. I find mine at food 4 less, CVS, and 99 discount store.
After I done with my mixing I divided my hair into 4 sections. When I do my treatment, I ALWAYS DO FINGER DETANGLING.
This is what it looks like after washing it out. My hair feels so soft, slip, moisturize, and shiny.
After washing out I just spray a little bit of water, use my leave-in and hair lotion and TADAA ready to go.
Why Protein treatment?
Since, my hair is already damage by dying it to another color . My hair needs a lot of protein to keep it stronger again plus it needs a lot of moisture because the dryness is there.
Here is another recipe for protein treatment:
1 egg
1/3 cup coconut milk
half an avocado
2 tbs coconut oil
2 tbs olive oil
1 tbs honey
1/3 cup coconut milk
half an avocado
2 tbs coconut oil
2 tbs olive oil
1 tbs honey

BEST CONDITIONER EVERR!!!!!
I just love it!!!! When I first use this product from Clairol Textures and tones. I was like WOOOWWW

Although this is produced is not hundred percent natural I still use it because its color-treated and I needed a product that was big, good price and does the job so I discovered this one here and I love it. Recently I use it on my summer routine and it has been working for my hair every since. I use this as my Co-wash with my coconut oil and grapeseed oil. You can use it as for Co-wash, conditioner, pre-poo and as leave in . I have not yet tried it on condition, but I think it is the same thing result so.
First of all, I bought this online on amazon, I couldn't find it at beauty supply which is too bad but the online is a little bit cheaper. By the way I find the same product, the only differences were that it was for only for relaxed hair so I bought that one for the meantime while I was looking for the with relaxed & natural but I like BOTH. I highly recommended.
Oil-enriched formula helps seal in moisture Get up to 99% stronger hair against damage.
Here is the INGREDIENT UPDATE 07/30/2012 from naturally curly.
Water, Stearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (not a sulfate)*, Cetyl Alcohol, Fragrance, Bis Aminopropyl Dimethicone, Isopropyl Alcohol, Benzyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Panthenol, Panthenyl Ethyl Ether, Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Extract (Jojoba), Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone
*Behentrimonium Methosulfate (not a sulfate) is a conditioning agent with detangling properties
From black to reddish brown. Yeap since I couldn't the color as I wanted from Henna the next day I went to the beauty supply and bought The Clairol Textures & Tones, first I didn't know if I wanted to have like ombre or do it the whole hair.
I just bought one pack which was a bad mistake, but it was okay. I followed the instruction and I did it. What I did for wrong was that I started from the roots first and then did the rest, so my hairline is a little bit lighter but its all right I like it anyway. In addition, I didn't do all my roots because it was my first time coloring my hair all by myself.
The process went well, we thank God, the best part was that my hair didn't get ANY DAMAGE, BREAKAGE OR EITHER SHEDDING DURING THE COLORING. Which was so AMAZING!!! I THINK it's because of the product didn't have this strong chemical called ammonia, which can cost your all those bad stuff. I waited 1 hour with coloring because I want it my hair to vibrate out since my hair was completely black I wanted to be sure that I got the color that I wanted. Before, I decided to use this brand I had already read all those reviews on YouTube and how they did whatever. I was thinking about either if I should take Shea moisture, color or this one, but I end up taking this one anyway.

After washing the color out |
Their condition is the BOMB!!!! I'd really recommend it!!!! When I used their conditioner my hair felt so super soft and detangled so I was like OH MY DAYS!! I must have this conditioner plus it was in color-treated which is exactly what I needed right now. I love their package and the instruction was it was so easy and simple to follow and I love the result, I will definitely buy it again. If you want to color your hair and it's black, it's your first time I recommend that you buy this one here. They have so many other colors, then this one here.
Hey
Recently I have been keeping promising myself that when my hair is two years natural I will color my hair. I have researched A LOT of things about hair coloring and how to take care it as in color-treated.
I really wanted so bad and I couldn't wait anymore so I discovered Henna.
Henna is a natural highlight hair color and it's all natural. I got one free from my aunt in addition, I bought two more since my hair is big I though one pack is not enough. Well, guess what I was wrong and it ends up being too much.
First of all I waited one hour another one hour and I end up waited four hours at night. I was so tired I was like enough is enough, it's time to wash it out.
After, washing it out and let it dry exactly NOTING NOTHING APPEARS OUT. I waited the next day and still nothing. I was so excited about coloring my hair and now I just end up being disappointed.
So let's go to color part 2
After using the henna NOTING =(
